CC Help: File name prefix

This field allows you to specify something to prefix the file names with.  The idea is that you use it when shooting a lot of people, say at a school or fair, and as each person comes up you can just type in their name, shoot a few shots, then change the name for the next person.  Then each file name will have the person’s name on it.

D40 w/XP v5.2 Name changing works, appends as prefix to NEF filename from camera. Not a big problem that I can see. Keep up the good work.

    I have a Nikon D70s. I downloaded DIY 5.2
    Camera is set to PTP
The screen eventually says it has connected to my camera and it shows up in the SELECT CAMERA (and displays it to the left)
    I set a destination folder.

When I click shutter release My camera shoots but no sign of the picture on the scren or in the folder. Same if I shoot via the camera. And I never saw any progress bar about downloading at any time.

I tried tether and no tether, raw and jpg, I tried Auto/M/A/S/P on the camera as well

    Help pls!

D50 with XP pro on 6 year old PC. To save folks wanting to know how to connect. Change camera from USB Mass Storage to PTP mode as in instruction video, run CC, connect camera and switch on, cancel windows file opener which pops up, select camera on CC screen, choose a file location, select ‘start tether’, and fire away with the onscreen shutter..takes my cranky old PC about 3-4 secs to upload, display and save pic…works a charm, very impressed!
