  1. Hello … I tried the script DIYPhotobits.com Camera Control 5.2 with the Nikon D3100 and it works perfect … just a warning when opening the script … greetings

  2. Working perfectly with a Nikon D3100 on Windows 7 64bits… thanks a lot for your job! 🙂

  3. I’d suggest that the order of the comments be from the MOST RECENT to the oldest…

There are (as of now) 208 comments with the ‘oldest’ from Dec 12, 2008 and the most recent from Jan 24th, 2013. This is a LOOONG time span in the age of technology…

    Thanks,

    Sam

P.S. the software works well with my Nikon D3100 Win 7, 32 bits as well as Win XP [SP3])…

  4. D3100 working with Windows XP

It requires to mark the “Force external viewer” checkbox but it shoots perfectly form the PC and loads the file in the computer.

    Thanks!

  5. D2X doesn’t seem to work properly – camera is recognised and the shutter can be released but the SW hangs immediately and no image is uploaded. The program then has to be stopped with Task Manager.

    (Win7 Ultimate 64, Core i7, 16GB RAM)

  6. 5.1(5.2) worked great with my D40X. I have graduated to a D7100. No picture displayed and no transfer of picture to folder on computer. Camera mode also not working. Anybody have it work for their D7100? Huge Northern Lights display tonight and tomorrow night. Would like to use DIY for that.

  7. I connected a D3000 on XP SP3 and shutter release works in both JPG/RAW. All other features (ISO settings/result in a script error message. It would have been nice though if I could block the mirror in its upright position for long series of similar takes (can be done via the camera menu)

  8. Hello

DIY photobits tether works with my D80, but with D7100 I get error code 0 (i.e. zero), line 207 character 3 saying it can’t find a specified path. I have just installed v5.2 (although the header page when it runs says v5.1).

    Cheers
    Ross

  9. I want to set up a sky monitoring camera. Discovered DIY photobits by accident and saw it should work on my camera. Downloaded program connected my Nikon D50 and it worked first time. I’m running on XP.
I can live with 30 secs exp but longer would be nice too.
Thanks so much. Just need a long USB cable now.

  10. I have been using DIY photobits for a long time , but my XP computer broke and I want to install DIY on the new one. I have not had any problems except it would shut down in the middle of a job, but when restarted it would work fine. I use a D300 and take product pictures for a wholesale florist web-site.
