Thanks for developing and posting this!!!!!! Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE my D3100. But I have been very disappointed to find there is not an external mic connection, the 10 min video time limits, and the lack of time lapse options. You just made one possible. Thanks again!!

  3. I don’t have a D3100 to test it with.

It should work exactly as with most other Nikon cameras.

Have you read all the previous comments ?

What problem are you having ?

  4. Hi,and how did it work ,i’m trying to connect Nikon D3100 ,and it say no camera detected.please help!!!
    Thanks

  5. Yes there is comments that it work with Nikon D3100, maybe i need to install some more soft, like nikon viewer or something???
    Thanks

  6. The software can be a little temperamental depending on the camera model , computer model and Windows version. You may need to try various starting sequences ie switch camera on before running the programme and vice versa. You may need to restart the programme or reboot your computer once or twice before everything works.

It’s worth persevering until you find what works best for your setup.

  7. This scripting software is great and best of all it’s FREE! It works just fine with my Nikon D50.

  8. First of all, thanks for this software. Using d3000, all is well except bracketing are all same exposure. Tried bunch of different modes and settings. Still get x number of pictures at same exposure. Is there a trick to getting the d3000 to bracket with DIY? Thanks again.

  9. Hi guys,

    Just installed DIY 5.2 on a Win7 64 bit PC. I use
it to remotely control a D50 Nikon DSLR attached
to a telescope for deep sky imaging.

Is there ant way (besides the handheld remote button) to use the ‘Bulb’ exposure setting to het exposures longer than 30 sec with DIY?

    Thanks,

    Andy S

  10. Hi.
I’m using v 5.2 and D-70. I am getting an error message every time I change the exposure time. The message is:

    “error at runtime
    want to debug it?
    line 343
error: Could not complete the operation
    error: 80042019”

the only way I can change the exposure time is using the control on the camera.

Can you please give some directions? (sorry for my bad english…)

    regerds,

    Alexandre Milito
